Humpback spotted in Boston Harbor

Boston Whale Watch companies didn’t have to go far on Memorial day to find whales, they didn’t even have to travel out of Boston Harbor!  A juvenile humpback was seen on Memorial day Monday swimming around Boston Harbor and by Spectacle and Deer islands.  Biologists said he looked skinny and could possibly be sick or disoriented.  The young humpback was about 20-30 feet in length. It was spotted when one of the Boston whale watch boats were headed out to Stellwagen bank for the day, and on their way back in they believe he had swam back out to sea. Capt. Bill’s wishes the little humpback good luck!
