From Naturalist Beth:

This morning we started off the trip with three fin whales! It was a great start. We got some great close looks at two fin whales in the area. We decided to take a ride and found two more fin whales on Jeffreys Ledge. There were plenty of seagulls and gannets in the area as well.

This afternoon we went for a ride on Jeffreys Ledge to see what we could find. We ended up finding four individual fin whales traveling through the area. One of the fin whales surfaced right next to the boat, it was an amazing look at the second largest animal on Earth! come to find out, this was a fin whale known as “Dingle”, which is one of Blue Ocean Society’s adoptable whalesImage00009

Another fin whale was identified as #0282 (no name yet).

It was a gorgeous afternoon out on the water!
