From Naturalist Beth:

This morning we headed south towards Stellwagen Bank. We spotted two fin whales to start our trip right off the eastern edge of the bank. We got a close look at one of the fin whales before spotting a basking shark at the surface. This shark was filter feeding at the surface and traveled right underneath our bow. Only a couple miles away we found Nine the humpback whale. She was feeding and surfaced many times filtering salt water through her baleen. We were able to get multiple close looks at her. We ended our trip with a large fin whale in the area. It was a great day out on the water!Image00001Image00002
